Today is the last class for BEL260. For today class we had discuss about the past semester paper. After finished discuss the paper, Miss Zu had prepared us a little snack for us. Then, we all take pictures together with Miss Zu. That’s all from me for today…


Miss Zu, I want to say sorry to you if I have do something wrong to you. I hope that you would not save it in your heart. Thanks for everything, Miss Zu you are the bestJ. I hope for the next semester you will teach us again…JJJ... Hope you were happy during the time you teach us...JJJ


Tuesday, 19th March 2013…


Today class Miss Zu taught us about author purpose and tone. There are many purposes for an author’s writing such as they want to inform, to perform a task, to sell, to inspire, to correct a misunderstanding, to show differing point of view, to review a film and last but not least to review a book. There are important reasons for author’s to write which are to entertain (tells a story that describes something or someone in an interesting way), to instruct (explain or teach something in the story that the reader does not know, the author provide knowledge to the reader), to persuade (tries to change our opinion on a topic by appealing to our emotions) and to describe (to support other purposes in writing. They use it to create a character, set a mood or envision a scene). By knowing the author purpose, you will prepare your mind for the type of information in the reading; make the article easier to summarize and to make it easier for you to discriminate between the article’s main idea and important details. For tone the writer’s use of words and writing styles to demonstrate his or her stand towards the issue. There are a few example of tone such us indignant, evasive, incredulous, optimistic, pessimistic, mocking, malicious, compassionate, cynical and bitter. That’s from me for today…


Monday, 18th March 2013…



For today class Miss Zu has given our listening and midterm test paper. I would not tell you about the marks. After Miss Zu give our test paper, she ask someone to photocopy a past semester exam paper to discuss it on Friday, 22nd March 2013. That all from me for today…

Friday, 15th March 2013…



For today class we were back to grammar presentation. Today groups that will present are Syahira group and Adli group. After finish present, they had prepared a game for us. Even the game was simple but it was an interesting game. We must form 2 circles to play the game. The game was likely a musical chair, but for this game they will play a song and after the song is stop for a while, one person will be chosen to answer the question on the notepad. The two groups got the same mark, and then Syahira ask for a representative for each group to write a sentence about what they have presented. The other group had not prepared a game or questions. But as long as we can understand what they have present it will be ok. That’s all from me for today…

Wednesday, 13th March 2013…



Today class is the replacement class for Friday class on 8th March 2013. For today class Miss Zu had taught us about an argumentative essay. To write an introduction for argumentative essay, you must introduce the topic with general statement, state why it is important, state there is a difference of opinion about this topic and the thesis statement must state what your claim is and can include the “parts” of the argument you are going to state. The body paragraph was the same as the previous essay, but for the conclusion we must restate the main claim, present one or two general sentences, and provide a general warning of the consequences. Tuesday, 12th March 2013…



For today class Miss Zu had taught us about drawing conclusion. Drawing conclusions is a form of critical thinking. It is relating what you see, hear and read to what you already know. When draw a conclusion, you use all the facts that you can find in the passage to help you deduce or figure out what you do not know. There are some expressions that point to a conclusion such as thus, it is believed that, in fact/because of this, it follows that, it concludes that, as a result, therefore, we can deduce that, points to the fact that, and lust but not least prove that. Monday, 11th March 2013…



Today is the day that we need to present our essay about drug abuse. During the presentation, Miss Zu has given each a comment on how they write the essay. Every group has their own mistake, so that Miss Zu had told us to rewrite the essay by correcting the error. Each group had a problem on write the body paragraph. The body paragraph must have a topic sentence and controlling idea; at least 3 supporting details; at least 1 example and last but not least a conclusion. After finish correcting the error we must print the essay and give the essay to the rest of the class. That’s all from me for today…

Tuesday, 5th March 2013…



For today class Miss Zu had shown us a video about drug abuse. On this video it shows about the effect of taking drug. After finish watch the video, Miss Zu has given us a group to do writing about drug abuse. She asks us to find a topic for our essay. My group members are Syahira, Fatin, Hasyima, Adli and last but not least myself Aisyah. The topic we have chosen is about the factor of taking overdose drugs. The one who will write introduction is Syahira; Fatin, Adli and I will write the body paragraph, and Hasyima will write the conclusion.we must present this essay on Monday, 11th March 2013. Monday, 4th March 2013…



For today Miss Zu had taught us about inference and prediction. Inference are often referred to as what you “read between the lines.” Inferences are what the author implies or suggests. The author wants the reader to make the jump to the same conclusion the author has made. Prediction is the use of one’s knowledge about language and the context in which it occurs to expert what it occurs to expert what is coming next in writing, movie, speech and etc. That’s all from me for today…

Friday, 1st March 2013…


For today my group have done the speaking test. During the test I think I was the only one who has talked less during part A in the test. In part B, we all argue with each other. Before we all leave the class, Miss Zu have given us a little comment on what we have done during the speaking test. That’s all from me for today…

Tuesday, 26th February 2013...


                    Today we all have done the real listening test. I hope that I will get a good mark for my listening test. This test is quite hard but I have done it. The test that we have not done yet was speaking test. After finish the listening test, Miss Zu has chosen a group to show the way of speaking test will be. The group that Miss Zu has chosen is Aizureen. After they have done the practice, Miss Zu has given the mark base on what they have done earlier. Miss Zu has prepare the time and day that we will do our listening test. My group will do the speaking test on Friday at 8.30a.m until 9.00a.m. That’s all from me for today…

Monday, 25th February 2013…


                 For today class we have done practice for listening and speaking. For the first 45 minutes we have done the practice for listening test. After that, Miss Zu asks us to gather with our speaking group to practice. Miss Zu has chosen my group to show the others how we must do during the part B. When we start to argue, suddenly Miss Zu asks us to stop and she asks us to do more practice. That’s all from me for today…

Friday, 22nd February 2013…


                Today we all should have grammar presentation but Miss Zu was taught us about the speaking test. Miss Zu had taught us about the word that we need to use during the speaking test. She also taught us about what we need to do during the speaking test. During the speaking test we will have two parts. For part A, all candidates will talk about their own point that has been given to them. Candidate A will start talking about he or her point, the other candidates must listen and write the supporting detail and same goes to candidate B, C and D. For part B, the supporting detail that they have talk during part A will be used in part B. they will argue about the point they have talk about. She also has told us the how she will give us mark. She also has called for Farhah group to show what you will do during on part A.  My group for speaking test that Miss Zu had given are Aiman Danial, Haziq Fidaiy, Atikah  and last but not least myself Aisyah. That’s all from me for today.

                Today is the first class for BEL260 after our Chinese New Year breaks. For today we had done the practice for listening test. During the listening, I have to focus on what the audio. Sometimes I do not know what they are talking. Therefore, I need to listen to the audio and answer the question. I need more practice to get good mark. That all from me for today…
